We were invited to the preview of ASOS AW11 footwear and Made In England. The event was in Redchurch street in East London with a lively crowd and great Ketel One Vodka cocktails following, we knew this would be a cool event as always with the ASOS.
The event showcased the new line up for AW11 and we loved what we saw.
The space displayed 5 catergories Smart, sport, hiking, outdoors and boots as well as our premium range hand made in Northampton. Myself and Alex were in our element it was so hard to point out what were our favourites it could of been most of the collection to be honest. However we thought these were really on point.
Alex and I loved some of the Made in England range with some killer sole combinations. It was such as shame we couldn't take advantage of the bespoke hand made service from the experts at NPS Solovair based in Northampton, you can choose your style, fabrics and materials to order.
ASOS are always hot on attention to detail Some of the footwear could been very close if not better than some of the higher end designer footwear.
Lemonade and ginger beers laced with Ketel One Vodka in hand, our eyes were on the great collections and also the stylish guys who were around we thought these guys were dressing well.
We had to get our feet into this blog too. Alex is wearing Nike low tops and I'm wearing Bertie Braxton Brogues.
Another successful launch from and beautifully crafted collection keep a look out for the new drops at ASOS.com
S.S.S.A likes Shai Spooner I think we can call him a friend. If you haven't already heard of Shai go read about him quickly here and here. He's a creative stylist working with one of the biggest Pop groups in the UK and he's now making his way into designing menswear too.
Here's the latest installment from Shai's vision it's a cool video titled Viral. I know for fact he has collaborated and designed most of the pieces that are showcased in the video. I'm feeling the biker leather jackets in all the colourways featured.
A cool styling tip guys did you see the total versatility by mixing things up and going a little smarter with the bow tie and shirt in the video and hold on a second did you see those cool animal print vests pretty nice indeed!
I'm really into that cool styled look with the snap back caps from time to time, and this captures a really laid back yet totally "SWAGGED" up vibe what do you think about the video and the looks?
To see what's going on in Shai world have a look at his Tumblr here
After looking through the coverage of Stockholm fashion week I came across some cool elements to freshen up your Spring Summer wardrobe for 2012 I know I might sound early but it's not that long away really.

I love a good back pack, so Ok in the summer they can make your back a little sweaty but generally these are cool for the modern man around town. A couple of things I usually look out for in a ruck sack are size, design and print, strength and functionality.
While in Manchester a few months ago I came a cross this cool version from a store called COW Vintage. I love COW I'm pretty really familar with the store in my home town of Birmingham and felt excited when this huge warehouse of vintage clothes and accessories came into the area as many of the vintage closed due to the recession they have a have five stores in the Midlands and in the North.
Cow have some great finds, cheaper than vintage stores in London for a fact! I came across this army green camouflage print gem for £18! Whether it's on trend or not I would I still brought it so I was super happy when I spotted this hanging up in the store. I instantly said yes! and had to grab it! What do you think??
I'm not really going to say much in this post I will let the imagery and story speak for it self. The clever campaign for Dr. Martens titled First and Forever beautifully captured showcasing classic and modern still DM's. The iconic brand has played part in the evolution of youth sub cultures and rebelliousness with it's distinctive style. The campaign invites people to reminisce their 'firsts' whether it was your first love, heart break, gig album or Dr. Martens the story features Agyness Dean and Ash Stymest.
A few months ago I visited a great design festival called Clerkenwell design week. For a re-fresh back take a look at the post here.
The experience was exciting seeing new and established furniture design brands showcasing great ideas. I was over whelmed by the great design talent you should of seen my wallet over flowing with business cards.
Pictures Jody Leach
A great bespoke furniture designer by the name of Jody Leach caught my attention. I thought his functional, Teanest Table and Chairs were super cute and really comfortable. This set would be ideal for a small living and a great stylish investment piece if you were planning on moving into your first space where space is an issue I could see this placed in a small kitchen or hall way. In three colourways I find the Teanest stylish, functional, compact priced at £995 I really like this.
I can't really express enough how much I love these! Classic with modern detailing and made from premium leather, paying homage to NBA star Julius Irving's style. Get them quick as these beauties will sell out fast. They will be available in Autumn 2011 in selected stores.
This came as a little surprise the other day as Alexander spotted himself while browsing online. While in Paris in the Saint-Paul district he was approached by spottingstyle.com for a couple of street style photographs he looks cool doesn't he dressing casually smart. I didn't even know he owned those pastel shade chinos aren't they cool! Thanks to Alexander for representing S.S.A well while in other countries good on you!
